Willard Black with Institute for Christian Resources

The Institute for Christian Resources (ICR) was founded by Willard Black in 1975 as a teaching resource for churches, individuals, and community groups. There is a pandemic of biblical illiteracy which incapacitates the church from carrying out her mission of evangelism and edification.

ICR has two primary components: (A) We are developing a digital seminary which will effectively provide open (and free) access to advanced Christian education which is portable to IPods, DVD's, and telephone technologies. Our vision is to turn the average commute into an extraordinary equipping  experience. (B) We currently have three public Christian libraries in major international cities which provide a coffee-shop atmosphere with open access to books, DVD's, lectures and events. These public spaces are neutral spaces where seekers can actively engage Christians in dialogue about their faith. Libraries are non-threatening environments for those who are not yet prepared to visit a church. We have partnered with Willard since October 2004. Please see www.icrnet.org.
