Kathy McCarty with Chidamoyo Christian Hospital, Makonde Christian Hospital in Zimbabwe
Through these two Christian hospitals located in Zimbabwe, Kathy serves as a medical worker for AIDS victims, pregnant mothers, infants and others in need of medical attention. The Chidamoyo Christian Hospital (CCH) was established in 1968 for the purpose of medical evangelism. In April 2005, a one thousand seat AIDS Education and Learning center opened with a library for local ministers,
counseling rooms and much needed meeting/storage rooms.
Currently, Zimbabwe is a country in crisis. After violent elections in March 2008, fighting continues while the country spirals downward. Inflation is over 200 million percent. Store shelves are empty because no one can afford to sell products that devalue by the minute. Fuel is sparse, and not available at local service stations. Currently, no other hospitals in the area are functioning; Kathy and her staff are working long hours to accommodate a 600% increase in patients over the year. We have partnered with Kathy since March 2002. Please see www.chidamoyo.org and www.SebChristian.com

Mark (pseudo name for security purposes) in Africa
Mark was born into a Muslim family, but heard the Gospel as a young adult in South Europe. He became a follower of Jesus through a difficult life circumstance; as Mark matured in Christ, he developed a deep love and concern for his native people. After finishing Bible school, Mark relocated to his home country in order to dedicate his time to translating the Scriptures into his native language. Mark's team has since completed translation of the New Testament and is near completion of the Old Testament. Mark and his team find ways to love the local Muslim people through the kindness of Jesus. We have partnered with Mark since February 2003.
