Real Help for Deep Hurt

Community
“The finality of death is hard to accept, and that’s what a grief group is about…getting you to accept that reality…so that you can go on with your life.”

“Helped me to understand that I wasn’t alone and that others have been on my same path.”

“I shared my testimony this last week and another person in the group had gone through Grief Share too. It was so neat to see that in our testimonies we both spoke about how amazing you guys are and truly how this class helped us heal. In the small group, several of us had all lost our dads, so thank you again for the love you and the group pour out to those who are hurting.”

Understanding
“The permission I needed to let grief happen.”

“GriefShare workbooks and videos are very encouraging.”

Support
“People loving each other in the midst of their hurting.”  “We became like a little family.”

Encouragement
“We have cried, laughed and grown.”

“Hope and joy was evident on her face.”

Comments from GriefShare session Fall 2011
“When I joined the group I was deep in the land of grief, thanks to you all I now stand on the bridge over the river of tears, of grief and happiness, between the land of grief and the land of joy. Thank you all for getting me this far on life’s journey.”

“The first 2 or 3 sessions, I dreaded coming. Then after getting to know some people, I couldn’t wait to come back. Finally, for the first time after losing my mom, I started to feel life again.”

“I have fallen in love with the fact that God does truly show up best in our weaknesses; our group has proven that. …no judgement or condemnation with all the questions and concerns I brought to the table. Love and compassion and a sense of community is how I would describe what I felt week to week during GriefShare.”
